Monti Antonio Grease 71 is the genuine, factory-specified grease for Monti Antonio calenders and heat transfer presses. Supplied in a 1kg can (Monti part number 50000142), it is the grease Monti Antonio developed and tested in-house to lubricate the bearings and supports around the heated cylinder, where ordinary greases break down under constant high temperature.
Monti Antonio machines run under continuous heat and pressure. Using the correct grease protects bearings, supports and chains from premature wear and helps avoid unplanned downtime and costly repairs.

Important: Do Not Mix Greases
Monti Antonio advises that Grease 71 must not be mixed with other greases, even similar high-temperature types. Mixing can create a granular paste that stops lubricating and can damage or fully seize the bearing. Monti Antonio does not accept responsibility for breakages caused by using a grease other than Grease Monti. If a bearing has been serviced with a different grease, have it cleaned out completely before switching to Grease 71.

Example Maintenance Schedule
As a guide, the Monti Antonio 180-T calender manual lists the following intervals based on 8 working hours per day:
- Every 7 days: grease the heated roller supports
- Every month: grease the bearings and supports
- Every 30 days: clean and grease the chains
Intervals and greasing points vary by model, so always follow the maintenance section of your own machine's manual. Wipe away excess grease from around the greasing points after servicing.

Pro Tip: Keep a dedicated grease gun for Grease 71 only. Sharing a gun with another grease is one of the easiest ways to contaminate your bearings.
